I didn't take the straightest route to this place...
But, here I am.
I'm currently a Lead Product Designer at CHIEF by day, freelance digital designer by night — also wanderluster, devoted dog mom, and french fry fiend.
In my past life, I was an Operations Manager at luxury retail brands such as CHANEL and Louis Vuitton. I'm great at project and team management, having led amazing people on my teams for several years.
I left that world after 10+ years, brushed up on my front-end coding through Team Treehouse and Codeacademy, and began to build websites. A few clients later and a portfolio under my belt, I joined the talented and amazing design teams at Citi and JP Morgan Chase & Co. I recently transitioned from FinTech into designing community experiences at CHIEF.
I made the switch because I love to create product the user wants, based off an understanding of their emotions, behaviors, and motivations.
(Also, I can finally say I'm putting my psychology degree to use.)
